GOT ART?

I quite often say that I will work with anything that would leave a mark. I love creating "Abstract Art", which normally centers around "Life" in general. Although you might not recognize the message I'm expressing in my art upon your initial viewing, I encourage you to look deep within the piece with an open mind. A mind that travels outside the box on occasion. I was born in Flint Michigan, however my family found it necessary to trade one coast for another. It was at the tender young age of seven I found my love and passion for art. Being a self-taught artist has allowed me the freedom to experiment with various mediums, subject matters and the added success of breaking all of the artistic rules. Having a passion for working in Pen & Ink, I decided to branch out and tackle Acrylics, then Graphite, Colored Pencils, Oil Pastels and well you get the idea. My love for Pen & Ink being partnered with the technique of (creating art, one dot at a time), has earned me countless awards locally and abroad. I enjoy capturing the viewer's attention by captivating their curiosity in having them to stop and be drawn into the piece, often times seeing something entirely different than what I myself or others might see. I draw my inspiration from everyday life, and credit my family for their utmost support. I am currently employed as an Art Instructor for a local organization within my community that serves an eager population of special needs students.
